APCCAN09 Young Participants Program

Child Abuse and Neglect: Looking Through the Lens of Prevention

15 - 18 November 2009, Perth, Western Australia

Do you want to join other young people in putting an end to child abuse?

Would you like to learn more about how to prevent child abuse?

Are you between the ages of 14 to 25 years old living in the Asia-Pacific region?

YOUth CAN play a key role in preventing child abuse by participating in the APCCAN09 Young Participants Program!!

You can register for the APCCAN09 Young Participants Program in two key areas:

1. FACE-2-FACE PROGRAM [F2F](age group 18-25)

Register your Expression of Interest to attend the Conference in Perth as one of thirty F2F Program participants and you could be running the APCCAN09 Conference Press Room. The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) have an exciting F2F workshop program to assist you in: snapping photos, seeking stories, interviewing Conference speakers/delegates and publishing media online for other young people to see, hear and talk about as a Conference:

-Vox Pop Producer

-Photographer

-Journalist

-Great Debate Panelist

-Facebook APCCAN09 Moderator and More!

Assistance with accommodation in Perth may be available if you are not being sponsored by another organisation.

2. FREE ONLINE PROGRAM (age group 14-25)

Join other young people in an interactive series of friendly, trusting and important real-time discussions on the present and future wellbeing and safety of children. The APCCAN09 Facebook Group "YOUth CAN - Prevent Child Abuse" is your opportunity to:

-Watch Vox Pops with key Conference experts

-Have Your Say in Online Opinion Polls

-Ask the Experts in Q&A Discussion Boards

-Share Your Actions by Uploading pictures, links, videos and 'Likes' for comment

-Join youth-led Facebook Group for young people to take action against child abuse!
